Sierra Leone Sports: 15 Roll ballers off to Bangladesh

A 15-person delegation of the Sierra Leone Roll Ball Association, made up of 12 male and female players and three officials has left for Dhaka, Bangladesh over the weekend to attend the 4th Roll Ball World Cup slated for the 17-23 of this month.
The President of the Association, Pastor Noel Williams, has said this is their first international outing since the sport began in the country.
He also revealed that they were invited to the World Cup because of the commitment the international body recognized through the regular updates from the Association.
Williams stated that around 700 players from 45 countries, including defending champions India, will vie for the top honours at the 4th Roll Ball World Cup.
Bangladesh has invested over Rs. 50 Crore to setup an exclusive Roll Ball stadium for the event. Three tier security arrangements are also being provided to the visitors.
He also stated that even though this is their first outing they are determined to win the trophy. It will not be an easy task but his young team is determined to create surprises during the competition.
He also stated that after this competition the next competition will be the African Championship.
The officials are Pastor Noel Willams, President, Abdul Kabia, Secretary, Abu Bakarr Sidikie Kamara, Coach.
The Sierra Leone Roll Ball players are Osman Conteh, Alhassan Sillah, Ibrahim Fuad Thoronka, Sadiu Barrie, Francis Sesay, Edmond Donal Thomas, Emmah Mansaray, Isatu Jalloh, Esther Kellah, Mary Kamara, Isha Sesay, Francess and Neneh Kamara.
